Located in the south Male atoll, just 25 minutes by speedboat from the airport, Angsana is a simple elegant cute resort with easy going charm.

The 45 villa are grouped around the island perimeter,with all having direct beach front and are literally just a few strides to the sea. The design theme is contemporary, with bright colours,and a real attraction is the Maldivian swing that is outside each villa. Some of the deluxe villas have separate Jacuzzi in the bathroom, but that apart the room size and facilities are identical.

Facilities include main restaurant, dive centre, marine conservation centre, spa. Sister hotel to the Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru; the resorts are just a few minutes apart from speedboat, so interchange facilities generally apply.

Our opinion – Not deluxe, but a very pleasant superior first class resort, The island is small, probably taking no more than 10 minutes to walk around. Although the facilities are limited, the interchange with the neighbouring Banyan Tree is very attractive. Note – The villas do not have a TV.
